Career Transition Coordinator
Job Description The Career Transition Coordinator is the primary point of contact for wounded, ill and injured Service members enrolled in the Warrior Care Program as they transition out of the military. They work with Service Members to develop a customized and comprehensive career transition plan based on goals, interests and experience. They provide support and resources pertaining to career transition, education, employment, internships, and retraining. Career Transition Coordinators network with private sector companies, educational institutes, and Government organizations to increase available resources and opportunities for service members.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
4+ years of recent and relevant experience in the Warrior Care Program, career counseling, or military career transition
Military experience strongly preferred
Active secret security clearance required
Knowledge:
Passion for supporting our military
Clear understanding o HIPPA and patient confidentiality standards
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc)
Abilities:
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Able to work in an ambiguous environment and prioritize/meet deadlines
Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Articulate in both verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
